Cindy received email from her Russian teacher friends today. It was their first day of school and it was party time. They call the celebration “Day of Knowledge” and the focus is likely a little different than we might emphasize here. The event honors the teachers and it is their commitment to the learning of their students that is celebrated. Interesting to consider the difference in perspective.
