More on bookmarks

A general observation we might make about software is that companies keep adding features to software that may be useful to some people in some situations. Most of us learn only the basic features we need to get by and do not take the time to search for additional capabilities that may make our work more efficient. When you think about it, there is an interesting paradox here - it is not efficient to blindly search through all of the many features powerful software makes available, but some of these features may make us more efficient. Since we comment on the roles of search and discovery in this chapter, we might suggest that the situation we describe here is a great example of when discovery might be helpful. If you review the content of others who comment on bookmarking (strange as it may seem there are some of us who do), you can pick up insights into features you might find helpful.
