My campus has experienced a recent rash of thefts involving projectors. Today between 11 and 12 a projector was taken from the lecture bowl I use. The equipment (computers, DVD players, etc. ) are kept in cabinets that are locked (instructors have keys). An instructor left the projector cabinet open so the next instrutor would not have to go the trouble of unlocking and starting the equipment. I am guessing students in the class knew this was the typical pattern of behavior and one decided to liberate the projector (loosen a few bolts and broke a restraint of some kind). We had a similar experience in a classroom last semester – strange thing about that event was that the thief took the projector and left a laptop.<\/p>\n

I bet this has something to do with a super bowl party. \ud83d\ude41<\/p>\n
