Must be the staggering amount of money that was involved. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.npr.org\/templates\/story\/story.php?storyId=6227759\">NPR<\/a> provides a nice summary if you want an audio description of the deal and related issues (copyright concerns).<\/p>\n<p>Why should you care?<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Some argue video is the individualized information source of preference (e.g., <a href=\"http:\/\/www.naisbitt.com\/\">John Naisbitt<\/a>) and this deal will likely increase distribution of video resources of all types.<\/li>\n<li>Some <a href=\"http:\/\/studytools.psych.und.nodak.edu\/wordpress\/?p=864\">educational content<\/a> will be available<\/li>\n<li>Popular culture has a way of influencing what we think the role of schools should be and influencing how some feel new learners prefer to learn.
